Creating images with dancers is a passion of mine. I feel the essence of portraying movement in a still image can be a challenge at times, but after all, movement is the ethos of dance! This challenge can be made much easier by collaborating with accomplished dancers. I had the privilege of casting multi-talented model Poppyseed Dancer for a recent project and she was a perfect fit. In this image, we used flowing fabric to convey a sense of movement in what otherwise would appear to be a static pose.
